Vendor Application
Our artist market is ever growing, ever changing, and we want to make sure you have a wonderful market experience with us at the Old City Market. We are looking for makers, artists, bakers, and even farmers to share their wonderful creations with the community.
This year, we will have 3 applications so that you can better plan out your markets for the year:

A few notes for this year: • The vendor fee for the Sunday Market is $45, and for the Spring & Fall Fest is $35. • Rhinestone Fest fee is $75. • Rhinestone Fest is now being held on Saturday, June 8th along with all other Rhinestone Fest Activities. The timeframe will be 1pm-8pm, with setup at 11am and breakdown by 9pm. • Are you a first time market vendor, and not sure where to begin? Dogwood Arts is providing the Emerging Maker tent (available for Fall/Winter applications only), where they can assist you with the process. Along with the application below, each vendor is responsible for submitting 2-3 photos that best represent your work and booth setup to oldcitymarketknox@gmail.com. Please include the name of your business in the email.
JOB TITLE: Old City Market Director
LOCATION: Jackson Ave
POSITION TYPE: Part-time 15-25 hours a week
ABOUT US: The Old City Association is dedicated to preserving the culture and history of the Old City while fostering a vibrant community. We seek a skilled Market Director to manage and grow the Old City Market, ensuring it remains a dynamic hub for local vendors and the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Market Operations: Oversee monthly operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and smooth vendor coordination. • Vendor Management: Recruit, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance with market standards. • Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate on marketing efforts to boost visibility and foot traffic for the market • Financial Management: Manage the market’s budget, vendor fees, and financial reporting. • Sponsorships: Recruit and secure sponsors for each year’s market season. • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term plans for market growth and improvement. • Customer Experience: Ensure a positive visitor experience and address any inquiries or issues. • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in market management, event planning, or community development. • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of local artisans, makers and food producers is a plus. • Ability to work the day of market – Second Sundays, Apr thru Dec and Small Business Saturday
COMPENSATION: $25 an hour + bonuses
