The First Friday Block Party is where the magic begins on your Downtown ArtWalk adventure. Visitors can wander through galleries, peek into studios where creativity is brewing, and soak up live entertainment, delightful activities, and good-time revelry spilling into the open streets. Each month brings a new theme with vendors, activities or performances that keep the party sparkling and fresh.

First Friday Block Parties will feature community activations along S Central Street in conjunction with the Downtown Knoxville ArtWalk. We are looking for local organizations with big personalities to take over the street! Local bands, dance troupes, street theater, performance art – fun, accessible, community-focused activations and performances that invite people to linger and engage. The Old City Association will manage street closures and provide funding for live music in conjunction with your party.
